We have a reading program called “Skip and Daisy” that is rooted in proven phonics based teaching techniques that teaches kids how to sound out words. Every lesson is focused, targeting just one sound for a single lesson. Then, to make sure that thing stay fresh and the lessons sink in, the sound is used in words, full sentences and even short stories that all revolve around that sound.

Unlike a lot of other programs, Learn to Read with Skip and Daisy does not focus on memorizing words since that technique has been proven to not be the same as teaching real reading. What the program does instead is show your child how they can quickly master phonics in such a way that no word is going to stump them because they will know how to sound it out.
